An ethanol fireplace is a safe, easy, and environmentally friendly alternative to the traditional woodburning, gas, and electric fireplaces. Ethanol fireplaces use a liquid bio-ethanol fuel that burns cleanly and quietly with a real, rich, dancing flame. This fuel is eco-friendly, biodegradable, and made by fermenting sugars from plants such as sugar cane, beets, and potatoes. Its burning process prevents air pollution, smoke, and odors. The only emissions from burning ethanol are small amounts of water and carbon dioxide.

These fireplaces are simple and easy to install and do not require any venting, flue, chimneys, gas lines, or outlets. They can be installed practically anywhere including bathrooms and bedrooms. Use either indoors or outdoors.

An ethanol fireplace will not provide you with a large, roaring fire with the crackle, pop, and occasional smell of burning wood, nor will it provide a great heat source. But, there certainly is a demand for beautifully designed fireplaces with their obvious eco advantages.
